Position Summary:

Direct Supply is building the future of healthcare technology with industry-leading products, solutions and platforms to help improve the lives of millions of seniors and those who care for them.

In the System Administrator position, you'll leverage your knowledge of technology systems to troubleshoot, resolve problems, and make improvements across the Direct Supply environment. Your work will span a variety of systems and tools, stretching across our platform systems. You'll be responsible for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance of our technology products and platforms. Additionally, you'll provide project execution assistance within IT Infrastructure and business-sponsored projects.

What You'll Do and Impact:

  • Infrastructure Planning and Management: Work with Senior team members to gain an understanding of how to implement solutions to manage the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.

  • Troubleshooting and Support: Participate in an on-call rotation, with the occasional after hours maintenance, and provide support on technical issues, by helping to identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.

  • Automation and Optimization: Identify opportunities for process automation, implement scripting solutions, and optimize system performance to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of IT infrastructure with business requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. (e.g. switch or router equipment, UPS batteries, etc.) unassisted using safe moving or lifting techniques; ability to climb ladder to access network closets

Experience:

  • 0-3 years experience supporting the following systems: Exchange administration, SSO, MFA, Azure AD and conditional access, DNS, DHCP, Windows and Linux Server OS, and/or network administration.

  • Experience with automation tooling including Terraform and Powershell/Python.

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in IT or equivalent experience

  • A firm understanding of automation tooling/scripting such as Powershell or Python.

  • Requires reliable transportation to travel between campuses (North Milwaukee to Downtown Milwaukee) as needed to provide support.

Additional Items of Interest:

  • An understanding of cloud environments, running your own servers or infrastructure

  • Experience with database technologies: DataBricks, SQL, etc.

  • Experience with build automation tooling: Gitlab, Git, CI/CD etc.

  • Experience supporting wireless technologies.
