Title: Tooling Technician

Position: Non-exempt

Location: Riverside

Manager: No

Reports to: Tooling Manager

Pay: $28- $35/ hours Depending on Experience

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Tooling Technician works under the direction of the Tooling Manager to maintain and repair models, and all items within the Tooling Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate and repair mold problems
• Ability to build Fixtures for production and second operations
• Ability to operate all tool room equipment
• Read & write CAD files, Tool drawings and sketches
• Good organizational and communication skills
• To maintain molds in working condition for production
• Create Fixtures as needed for production and second operations
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalency required
• Advanced degree or certificate preferred
• Experience in tooling or manufacturing a plus
• Evaluate and repair mold problems
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Moderate experience reading and writing CAD files
• Strong mechanical aptitude

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is usually in an indoor concrete floored precision machining shop. General noise level can fluctuate from medium to high on a constant basis.
