Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Building Engineering Services Application Developer we will count on you to:
- Develop and maintain in-house automation tools to support the Building Engineering Services Group
- Develop tools that interface with Revit, BIM360, Autodesk Platform Services, and Engineering Analysis software
- Identify and develop new tools to assist with automation, interoperability, and project execution.
- Drive thought-leadership and industry visibility for the company through presentations, conferences, whitepapers, and other strategic initiatives
- Understanding and application of the agile development lifecycle.
- Work in partnership with other software developers and computation engineers within HDR
- Manage a complex range of tasks to meet deadlines and develop tools on-time and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- Practical experience in building highly functional engineering applications for Revit or other BIM software platforms.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of Four (4) years' experience in software development.
- Experience with agile development practices through Jira.
- C# Development, WPF Development, Multi-threading development, MVVM.
- Python Development.
- SQL Server and backend data processing.
- Knowledge/Experience with Revit, Revit API, Autodesk Platform Services (Forge) and BIM360 API.
- Knowledge/Experience with Visual Studio.
- Knowledge/Experience with 3-D Development platforms such as Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo.
- Knowledge/ Experience with the API of Engineering Analysis Applications for Mechanical, Electrical and/or Structural Engineering.
- JavaScript (including ES6), HTML, and CSS(SASS/LESS).
- Familiarity with PowerBI Dashboards.
- Responsive web design and UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.).
- Experience with server-side technologies (.NET, NodeJS, etc.).
- RESTful web services.
- Cloud computing.
- Unit testing and continuous integration and deployment.
