Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Building Engineering Services Application Developer we will count on you to:

  • Develop and maintain in-house automation tools to support the Building Engineering Services Group
  • Develop tools that interface with Revit, BIM360, Autodesk Platform Services, and Engineering Analysis software
  • Identify and develop new tools to assist with automation, interoperability, and project execution.
  • Drive thought-leadership and industry visibility for the company through presentations, conferences, whitepapers, and other strategic initiatives
  • Understanding and application of the agile development lifecycle.
  • Work in partnership with other software developers and computation engineers within HDR
  • Manage a complex range of tasks to meet deadlines and develop tools on-time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Practical experience in building highly functional engineering applications for Revit or other BIM software platforms.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of Four (4) years' experience in software development.
  • Experience with agile development practices through Jira.
  • C# Development, WPF Development, Multi-threading development, MVVM.
  • Python Development.
  • SQL Server and backend data processing.
  • Knowledge/Experience with Revit, Revit API, Autodesk Platform Services (Forge) and BIM360 API.
  • Knowledge/Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge/Experience with 3-D Development platforms such as Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo.
  • Knowledge/ Experience with the API of Engineering Analysis Applications for Mechanical, Electrical and/or Structural Engineering.
  • JavaScript (including ES6), HTML, and CSS(SASS/LESS).
  • Familiarity with PowerBI Dashboards.
  • Responsive web design and UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.).
  • Experience with server-side technologies (.NET, NodeJS, etc.).
  • RESTful web services.
  • Cloud computing.
  • Unit testing and continuous integration and deployment.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Bellevue, Washington: $75,000- $130,000
