Our Dodge City, KS Fertilizer Plant is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Health & Safety Leader to join our team.

Our Team

In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to effectively manage facility Health, Safety and Security risks. This role will report to the CPN Safety & Security Leader. One Health and Safety employee is located at the Dodge City facility.

What You Will Do

  • Advance Health, Safety & Security compliance risk identification and prioritization across the Site
  • Advise Site Leadership in Health, Safety & Security matters
  • Work with site teams to develop appropriate solutions to mitigate site risks and improve site safety culture
  • Implement programs & improve compliance to promote employee health and safety compliance - oversight, self-assessment, and auditing
  • Provide field H&S support to site operations and projects personnel
  • Ensure compliance with the security protocols and regulations at the facility, including the oversight of the third-party security workforce.
  • Guide the organization to meet or exceed internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Support the development of site employees and site leaders in safety and health
  • Conduct H&S training and industrial hygiene exposure assessments
  • Oversee the employee occupational health surveillance program
  • Support Supervisors and HR in the injury/illness case management process
  • Ensure policies & procedures are developed in alignment with corporate standards, reviewed, revised, and implemented in a timely manner
  • Identify and utilize data and reports needed to provide effective governance of site H&S performance


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • At least 5 years of experience in a Health & Safety role
  • Regulatory knowledge (including but not limited to OSHA, ACGIH, NFPA)
  • Experience developing and implementing safety and health programs
  • Experience in health & safety auditing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other technology platforms (i.e. Event Management, Compliance Management


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Extensive regulatory knowledge (such as S&H RAGAGEP and CFATS)
  • Manufacturing or Petrochemical industry experience
  • Experience with Program and Project Management
  • Achieved, working toward or eligible for H&S certification, including CSP, CHST, CHMM, CIH, etc.
  • Leadership, management and/or supervision experience
