Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a motivated, performance-driven Director of Operations to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that administrative and operational functions are provided to the respective teams in an efficient and effective manner. In addition, he / she will be responsible for service delivery through management, provide oversight for operations functions and staff and will work closely with the Account Director in supporting functions to implement strategic initiatives. As an operations manager, this individual will ensure there is sufficient front office support and act as a steward for operational excellence initiatives.

Job Description

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Continuously develops and documents processes, as key elements of Facility Management delivery model and provides instruction and guidance on processes, policies, reporting, and document management.

  • Create, implement, and maintain, processes, playbooks and standards for consistency

  • Drives standardized reporting

  • Manage centralized repositories and documents.

  • Provides support and is the centralized point of contact for internal teams

  • Manage the delivery of responsibilities related to the contract deliverables including monitoring and reporting on performance trends, development of regular reports, and data & metrics quality control audits.

  • Track and report on performance against Service Level Agreements & Key Performance Indicators; identifying areas of risk and escalating as needed.

  • Assist in the development of Quality Assurance / Compliance program(s) designed to identify, measure, assess, report, monitor and control overall adherence to MSA requirements in addition to compliance.

  • Collaborate in the development of strategic planning with the leadership team and develop short- and long-range operating objectives, policies and programs

  • Manage the roll out of new reporting and governance processes and ensure adherence to reporting and governance policies and procedures

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across all functions and levels of the organization while developing a solid understanding of the objectives, challenges, and opportunities for each service line.

  • Interface directly with the client Compliance leads and client internal audit representatives as well as manage C&W response and participation during compliance audits.

  • Continually seeks and capitalizes upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

  • Recommends and assists with internal program and process improvements and best practices, to identify efficiencies that will facilitate improved effectiveness and performance.

  • Performs regular monitoring of the document management system in the Workplace SharePoint site, to validate and ensure project consistency and compliance with the Workplace practices, processes, and policies.

  • Works, collaboratively, with all stakeholders and engages with the wider Facility Management team, to ensure alignment with project processes.

Skillset Requirements

  • A strong knowledge in Microsoft Office products - SharePoint, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are essential

  • Highly analytical with strong time management, organizational and planning skills

  • Excellent Oral and written and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ie: positive, proactive, flexible, and capable of inspiring and encouraging others and facilitating change

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently and ask the "right" questions without having extensive knowledge in a particular business area

  • Ability to, consistently, meet deadlines and adapt to ambiguous and competing priorities

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey clear insight and thought leadership

  • Experience in all aspects of management and financial reporting

  • Understanding of applicable web-based applications and software

  • Self-starter with strong time management, teamwork, and creative thinking skills

Physical Requirements

  • Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type

  • Ability to clearly speak and articulate thoughts

  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally

  • Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Five (5)+ years of project or program management experience

  • Five (5) years of leadership and team development in a workplace/facilities environment

  • Or any similar combination of education and experience

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $128,435.00 - $151,100.00
