About the Position:

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Merchandise Execution Manager (Visual Merchandising) in our Store Support Center (099) in Greensboro, NC. The Manager of Merchandise Execution is responsible for driving sales growth in partnership and collaboration with the store operations and category management, through Visual Merchandising. They also serve as the expert in merchandising activities that are needed to execute visual and commercial programs in store. A key focus of this position is to ensure a compelling customer experience through selling and merchandise execution standards. The Manager of Merchandise Execution will be responsible for being the main point of contact for store operations and category management as it relates to key program initiatives.

What You'll Do:
  • Drive total sales growth in partnership and collaboration with store operations and category management leadership through development of activity planning, execution strategies and actions on category management commercial programs and initiatives.
  • Manage the visual merchandising processes that support category and cross-functional merchandising strategies.
  • Partner with Director of Merch Ex and category lead to deliver assigned initiatives; clearly communicate objectives and priorities where applicable.
  • Responsible for delivering consistent merchandise execution for assigned area of responsibility, identify opportunities to ensure company merchandising strategies are successfully implemented.
  • Collaborate with appropriate cross-functional partners to interpret company merchandise directives and leverage localized opportunities as appropriate.
  • Ensure merchandise presentation, sales and visual standards, sizing, pricing and quality standards are in line with company guidelines and branding.
  • Partner with Director of Merch Ex and Store Operations to develop and deliver communication of merchandising programs.
  • Demonstrate forward thinking for merchandising strategies for the store, challenging the status quo, anticipating obstacles, and considering varying approaches to accomplish sales goals.
Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of Visual Merchandising or store operations experience
  • Proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop
  • Possesses strong merchandising, product, and marketing skills
  • Strong ability to identify global issues and communicate within the organization
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop/maintain strong working relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates leadership and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel for trade shows and store trips
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Takes calculated risks to achieve results
  • Develops creative solutions to business issues
  • Identifies emerging trends and shops competition and market regularly
  • Demonstrated skills with MS Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Retail Communications
  • Project Management skills
