Tosupportthischallenge, Syngenta's Commercial team is currently seeking a Market and Business Intelligence Manager in Greensboro, NC.

In this pivotal role, you will beresponsiblefor shaping how Syngentaunderstandsour markets, ourcustomersand ourcompetitors- creating and advocating for a strategic vision across theorganizationand at the highest levels of Crop Protectionleadership.

In this role, you will gain significant strategic experience in the Crop Protection Marketingorganization,leadingandmanaging a teamofdirectreports while enjoying a broad remit todrivenew ideas andsolutions. You will operate broadly across the sales and marketing teams and with seniorleadersto ensure that the Market and Business Intelligencestrategyis embraced anddrivesmeaningful and lasting benefits for Syngenta.

Essential Duties &Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary internalexpertleadinga team to holistically assess the market,competitiveandcustomerenvironmenttohelpdrivemore informeddecisionmaking at all levels of the US Crop Protectionorganizationfrom senior managers to field sales.
  • Comprehensively evaluate and redesign the approach to business and market intelligence and 3rd party research that improves how Syngenta assesses the market, ourcompetitiveposition andcustomerperceptions of the company and our products.
  • Manage a teamofdirectreports,thoughtfullydesigning theirresponsibilitiestohelpdeliver the newplan.
  • Employdiversesources of data andcustomerresearch/insight to ensure that theorganizationhas the best information available to inform strategic and tactical action.
  • Responsibleto Commercial Operations and Crop ProtectionStakeholdersto set critical assumptions around acres, commodity prices and possiblecompetitivemoves.
  • Serve as a critical partner for the product marketing team, developing a deepunderstandingof portfolio and productobjectivesin order to uncovercompetitive,customerand market insights that increaseunderstandingandhelpachieve salesobjectives.
  • Directthe work of third-party partners, managing external consultants and budgets to ensure the delivery of timely and cost-effective research.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Agribusiness, Marketing, and/or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7yearsof sales and/or marketing experience, preferablysupportingSyngenta internally or from an adjacent business/function.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from Syngenta.

Preferred:

  • Demonstratedpassionforcustomersgained from experience in Ag sales and/or marketing.
  • Understandingof how sales data, market research and other sources of information enable Syngenta to comprehend our markets, ourcustomersand ourcompetitorsand how that helps maintain acompetitive edge.
  • Fluency in the internal processes of Syngenta and how market intelligence informs everything from budget setting to product planning to advertising and promotion.
  • The ability to lead withimpactin a highly visible role withdirectaccountability to US Crop Protectionstakeholdersand global counterparts.
  • Understandingof regulated industries and the importance of ensuringcommunicationsare compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellentability to interpret market research and other sources ofcustomerand market data and synthesize those into key conclusions and actions.
