Job Description

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Special requirements: Independently set up and operate moderately complex various manufacturing equipment that requires specialized skill or expertise. Some welding experience and use of measurement equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Proficient in all aspects of inspection gages for the area after training period end and ability to train other employees
  • Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures
  • Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Forklift certification capable
  • Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days.
  • Ability to train team members
  • Ability to lead Lean events and high performnace teams as required; ability to train team on Lean methodology
  • Participate in 5S activities per Manager request
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.
  • Other assignments as assigned by Management.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

  • Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vision: 20/25 vsiosn corrected or uncorrected
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English
  • Mechanical Aptitude: High
  • Strong Math skills - three digit addition and subtraction, multiple digit multiplication and division. Converting fractions to decimals. Ability to follow formulas for conversions (ex: SF to LF).
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
