Primary Purpose of Position | Applicants should be passionate about research and training the next generation of scientists and engineers in modern research techniques. Research is our focus as we are a department that only trains graduate students with an average class size of 10. Successful applicants will assist North Carolina Agricultural and State University in its trajectory towards a Carnegie Research Intensive Doctoral University by contributing to PhD production, increasing research expenditures beyond $100,000,000 while contributing to the "Aggie Experience" which embraces responsibility, excellence, integrity, inclusiveness, and learning. The Department is looking for individuals who possess engineering and scientific skills that support research thrusts at the nanoscale in Computational Nanoengineering, Semiconductor Materials, or a related area. This is a 9-month position and the appointment is expected to be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Department is seeking qualified candidates who can develop a collaborative and innovative research program that will complement existing research and fully utilize the world-class facilities at JSNN. The Department of Nanoengineering consists of 11 full-time tenure track faculty to support excellence in teaching and research.
