  • Knowledge of student development principles and best practices is a plus.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position
We are seeking a Temporary Student Development Specialist in Marketing and Communications to support our team in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies aimed at engaging and supporting our student community.

  1. Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote student services, events, and initiatives.
  2. Create and distribute marketing materials including flyers, posters, and digital content.
  3. Coordinate and promote student events and programs through various communication channels.
  4. Manage and update social media platforms to increase student engagement and awareness of resources and services.
  5. Collaborate with student organizations and campus departments to support marketing and communication efforts.
  6. Assist in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies.
  7. Provide support for student development initiatives and special projects as needed.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
This position will focus on creating and delivering marketing materials, event coordination, and social media outreach to enhance student engagement and success. This position will report to the Assistant Dean of Student Success & Programming.
Work Hours M- F, 4 hours/day
Is this position eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies.
