We are seeking a Mechanic (Preventative Maintenance) in Stuart, VA for our Lover's Leap project.

SUMMARY

Performs basic preventive maintenance (PM) and lubrication to heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, and other pieces of construction equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Performs routine oil and fluid changes and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
  1. Grease and lubricate equipment and vehicles as required.
  1. Determines necessary parts, materials, and tools required for assigned tasks.
  1. Performs minor repairs to equipment such as changing fuses, light bulbs.
  1. Reviews and comprehends the PM intervals and schedules.
  1. Completes required documentation, both hard copy and/or online, of services performed,

materials/supplies used, and work order closure.

  1. Follows company safety standards.
  2. Ability to drive standard transmission truck.

None

QUALIFICATIONS

CDL license required, Tanker & Hazmat endorsements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Speak and understand English;

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

CDL REQUIRED - Valid Class B Driver's license w/ Hazmat & Tanker endorsements and clean driving record
