Posting Information
The Theatre Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that all elements of theatre production are met on time and within budget and stick to the confines of the School Process Map. Duties include running production and design Meetings, frequent communications with the design/tech team, overseeing build schedules, providing information to the marketing team, overseeing student Stage Managers, and maintaining communication between all departments. The production manager is expected to frequently attend technical rehearsals and designer runs. The production manager also advises on budget and process for thesis films, web series, and the controlled chaos film festival as part of the Main Stage season.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
Experience with Stage Management, Assistant Stage Management, and/or Production Management. Should have working knowledge of production process.
Strong communication, organization, and budgeting skills. Working knowledge of both film and theatre production. Ability to manage and lead a production team.
Minimum Qualifications
BA or BFA.
Experience in management.
Working knowledge of Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Production Management, Stage Management, or Assistant Directing or Line Producing for Film.
